Woman missing from Thrissur found murdered in Coimbatore

THRISSUR: A 40-year old woman, who was missing from Thrissur since Wednesday, was found dead on the roadside in Coimbatore . The police said the deceased has been identified as Thattuparambil Lolitha of Chettupuzha near here. The police suspect it is a case of murder and has taken a man into custody.
The woman was found lying unconscious on the road on Thursday evening and even though she was rushed to the nearby hospital she breathed her last before admission.

The hospital sources had informed the police. Preliminary medical examinations indicated she was poisoned and smothered.
The police officials said the man was reportedly having illicit relationship with the woman and had borrowed money from her. The man seems to have decided to murder her when she asked to return the money.
He had also taken away the money and jewelleries she was wearing, after killing her. Lolitha is married and has two children. However she was staying away from her husband in the recent months and working in a firm in Thrissur city.
Police team have gone from Thrissur to Comibatore to get more information from the people around the area where the woman was found lying unconscious. Steps have also been taken to bring back the body which is lying in the mortuary of the hospital at Coimbatore.
